BIM Show Live will be back in the new year and that means the BIM Awards will be too!
As the UK’s only Building Information Modelling (BIM) conference, BIM Show Live is widely regarded as the biggest and best conference of its kind in the world.
BIM Show Live also plays host to the illustrious BIM Awards. Now in their third year, the BIM awards celebrate the very best work within the design and construction industry.
This year’s categories include: Large and Small Project of the Year, Best New BIM Product/Software, BIM Rising Star, BIM Designer of the Year, BIM Specialist of the Year and many more.
Two of the more interesting categories are the BIM For Good award and the Client of the Year award.
The ‘BIM for Good’ award looks at practices being adopted within the industry that see BIM being used in an innovative and effective way to help both the environment and society in general. This could be by helping to reduce carbon emissions, creating safer environments, or making efficiencies in public sector buildings and infrastructure.
The Client of the Year award is for a client that’s “taken a risk and embraced BIM and digital construction processes to achieve real results. Clients who incorporated outstanding strategic planning and project management, combined with innovative thinking with economic impact.”
If you think you’ve got what it takes, you can enter here. The awards are free to enter but the deadline is edging closer, with 7 November the final date for all submissions – so get your submissions in promptly!
The event will take place at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on the 26th and 27th February 2020.
