Space Group releases new collaboration software Warboard

Space Group announces the latest release of its Warboard collaboration platform.

Warboard is a cloud based software platform which manages issues in a federated model helping collaboration and communication across a project team on complex construction project.

Warboard was first developed in 2013 for internal use by Space Group’s in-house Space Applied Technologies (SAT) team for BIM. Technologies. At the time BIM. Technologies were working on several large, high-profile construction projects with clients that were early BIM adopters.

There was a need for greater visibility of issue management on these projects and at the time, no existing software platforms were suitable for their requirements, therefore a bespoke Warboard platform was built.

The realisation followed that Warboard could be converted into a platform for wider use out with of internal projects, and the SAT team began to develop this new software product.

Over the past few years, BIM. Technologies, together with SAT have continued to develop the platform in response to the evolving digital construction sector. A number of new features along with additional functionality were added, including all of the original features that made Warboard unique from other platforms, as well as many new ones such as; a newly built interface, multiple project management capabilities and advanced expandable clash results for customised reporting.

Warboard has been designed to support the BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) and can be exported from Revit or other design software, plus has a native Navisworks plug, allowing seamless one-click synchronisation.

Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group spoke of Warboard; “We initially developed Warboard to allow clients to monitor progress through a simple dashboard. Over the years the platform has grown into something much more valuable, having been deployed by many users on many live projects and this latest release delivers enhanced functionality and is particularly focussed on helping designers workflows.”

Warboard has six levels of subscription, there is a free package which allows users to manage an unlimited amount of projects with up to 50 issues. Full details of the Warboard packages can be found here.
