Brita filtered BIM is now a reality, as the global giant in water filtering have developed components suitable for placement within Building Information Models.

According to Catering Insight, three filtering families are now available online to download for free. They are Purity ST, Purity Steam and Purity C – all of which come with relevant add-ons.

Brita’s BIM objects are in the IFC format, meaning they can be utilised on any software platform due to being an international open standard file format.

“Being BIM compliant means consultants can make sure everything fits into the space available in conjunction with M&E requirements. And that it meets project budgets,” explained Brita Professional’s Sales Director Miles Dawson. “Over the 50 years or so that our filters have been in the market we’ve invested heavily in research and development, meaning our technology has remained relevant as the industry evolves.

“Ensuring our commercial products were BIM ready was key to this and an example of how we continually invest to meet the needs of consultants and the wider market.”
