Warboard, the new clash detection management platform from Space Applied Technologies (SAT) has been released.

In its beta version, the product perfect for project collaboration was debuted today at Autodesk University 2015 in Las Vegas, US. At the joint BIM.Technologies and bimstore stand, Warboard has its own presence, with SAT and BIM.Tech’s Technology Director, Adam Ward presenting the dashboard’s functionality to delegates at the prestigious conference.

Warboard allows construction teams to identify clashes within a 3D model whilst also recording the action and tracking progress. These issues are flagged in the digital model before the construction project has begun on site, ensuring that costly errors like clashes are resolved before happening in actuality.

The platform is the first release from a suite named Synergy, which brings together a number of design and construction activities together within the cloud. Over time this data will build and through interrogation and analysis it is anticipated processes and outcomes can be improved drastically.

We hinted at Warboard’s release in our preview of Space’s presence at Autodesk University last week. Elsewhere, bimstore are launching their #GrabOurBalls campaign.

SAT’s Technology Director, Adam Ward told us: “For a number of years now, our Information Managers have utilised a clash detection management platform on their projects, created by our internal team of developers. When we have presented this platform to our clients, we have been blown away by the positive response.

“Because of that reaction, we have been working extremely hard to improve this cloud-based software and bring it to market. It turns an eight hour task into a five minute process and is like nothing currently available.”

The browser-based SaaS has native plugins allowing it to connect with Autodesk Navisworks and Revit. Every project managed by the portal has an instant report generated which can be exported to a PDF at any stage of the project’s lifecycle.

Warboard is available in three subscription formats: Paladin; Warlock; and Sorcerer. Each has different functionality and pricing information is available over at Warboard’s website.

On the website, BIM Champion for the West Midlands BIM Region, Olly Thomas explained how Warboard has helped him: “With the built in Synergy messaging, Warboard has replaced email on our construction projects and allows us to produce instant PDF coordination reports at a click of a button. Gone are the confusing Navisworks clash reports!”
