Following our BIM Brunch interview with the Director of BRE Academy, Pauline Traetto, the Built Environment education experts have announced details of upcoming BIM training courses.

Across December until March, BRE will visit Birmingham, Liverpool and Newcastle to tutor professionals, as well provide training in their base in Watford.

Themes for the training include BIM Fundamentals and BIM PIM TIM with topics such as Common Data Environments, standards and procedures, and EIRs set for discussion. The former is a pre-requisite to enrol for the latter.

BIM Fundamentals is suitable for any passionate design, construction, project or facility management professional to enrol in and will focus on getting started on the Level 2 pathway.

BIM PIM TIM will analyse the roles of Building Information Manager, Project Information Manager and Task Information Manager and was devised by the author of BS1192:2007 and co-author of PAS1192-2:2013, Mervyn Richards. The tutelage course takes place over two days and concludes with an open book exam.

Why should you get BRE accredited? The video below explains all.

Information on the training date can be found here for BIM Fundamentals and here for BIM PIM TIM.
