bimstore Brief for November 2015: New version of bimstore Eye available, 4 new manufacturers

bimstore Brief 2

Despite major planning for their presence at Autodesk University 2015, November was a mammoth month for bimstore, the UK‘s original content creation platform.

Away from Building Information Modelling objects for a moment, a brand new version of bimstore Eye has been made available on the App Store. The new update contains 3D visualisations of Dorma, Grohe, HERZ Valves, Legrand and Lloyd Worrall.

bimstore specifiers can save time by making sure that they are going to download the right content for their architectural models using app. Think of the Eye as a 3D product catalogue; you can select different sizes and colours of your chosen component to view and see if it meets your specification.

For manufacturers who are perhaps pitching their products to new clients, they no longer need to travel with their product range as if they have their wears available in an augmented reality format, they can just present them in that format instead.

Regarding objects added to the portal, four new manufacturers have their wears newly listed. ACV have four of their boilers in Autodesk Revit format, whilst All About Bricks have added 50 of their products to bimstore. The aforementioned HERZ are also a new addition, and they have brought 33 of their valve solutions along with them. The quartet of arrivals is concluded by Tarmac Ltd.

Elsewhere, existing manufacturers boosting their BIM portfolios with additional uploads or revisions include Altro, Bosch, Legrand, Technal and Zehnder – quite the collection!

More information on all of the recently added components can be found in the bimstore news room of their official website, or via Twitter.
