Another episode of our audio interview series Crunch Time will be released later this week, and a successful female excelling in her executive role within one of the world’s leading software companies is Jack White‘s interviewee.

Shari Zedeck, Vice President of Product Management at Newforma will speak with Jack this Friday (December 4th, 2015) in an interview not to be missed.

Topics in the interview include the all-important ‘I’ in BIM, the strength of Newforma’s products as Common Data Environments over those of competitors, the industry’s skills gap, promoting AEC and STEM jobs as suitable for females, and more.

In the chat, Shari also shares her thoughts on areas that AEC companies are struggling with when it comes to Building Information Modelling. Shari states: “The application of collaborative BIM processes that fully exploit the full potential is hit or miss.

“There have been many documented success stories; these largely focus on efficiencies in construction like cost estimating and clash detection. That said, there are areas that BIM is struggling to reach its full potential, like in lowering lifecycle operating costs, energy utilisations or CO2 emissions.”
