We have virtually travelled across to Spain and the United States in recent months looking at new BIM-built stadiums for Barcelona football club and the Sacramento Kings basketball team. Now, we’re off to South Korea to check out the latest developments for the Samsung Lions baseball team.

Daegu Samsung Lions Park is currently in development, and Chosun Biz have provided more information on how the project is going.

The article explains that the stadium in Daegu is expected to be completed in February 2016 and 80% of the build has been completed. The BIM model of the first octagonal stadium in the country has been interacting with the likes of wind tunnel and seismic simulation testing technologies to see how the stadium will react under certain natural pressures.

Daewoo Engineering and Construction are contractor for the build, which will house a capacity crowd of 29,178.
