Details have been announced regarding the next BIMnet event.

The conference will be held at Bespoke Careers‘ HQ in London, UK on September 14th, 2015 with sponsorship confirmed from YouBIM.

YouBIM’s Managing Director Paul Goodman-Simpson will get to grips with the topic of Moving from Client Engagement to Client Action and Operation.

This event is the fourth BIMnet of the year, with previous speakers including David Southam of FARO and AECOM‘s David Philp and James Daniel.

It has been confirmed that The B1M will be back at the event also to film various portions of the proceedings. Their latest video shot at BIMnet featured David Philp discussing Digital Built Britain.

More information can be found below.

Launched by David Philp in 2012 BIMnet, was founded by AECOM, Bespoke, Levitt Bernstein, Plowman Craven and Willmott Dixon and is a quarterly event that brings together key players in the industry in an informal environment, facilitating learning through knowledge-sharing and helping establish a coherent, industry-wide response to the adoption and development of BIM.

Our informal BIMnet events are held at specialist architecture, BIM and technical recruiters Bespoke Careers’ central London venue and create the ideal opportunity for senior executives from top organisations to meet and network with decision makers and influencers within the BIM environment.

With nearly 1,000 subscribers BIMnet was a finalist for Building Award’s ‘BIM Initiative of the Year’ in 2013 and is now a well established networking group where you can expect to meet architects, landscape architects, engineers, project managers, civil and structural engineers, contractors, company directors, end users, facilities managers, and anyone interested in BIM and its issues in the building arena.

2016 will see the UK government BIM mandate requiring all centrally procured public projects to be delivered to BIM Level 2. The 2016 Level 2 Compliance requirement will mean all of the design and construction supply chain must deliver their aspects of project responsibility using processes and technologies in line with Employers Information Requirements (EIRs). Furthermore the government client wants to see a significant improvement in cost, value and carbon performance being achieved through the use of open shareable asset information enabled with collaborative ways of work throughout the entire project and asset life-cycle.

Having hosted 3 events already for 2015 BIMnet will be hosting 2 further events this year as part of the 2016 countdown and these will focus on the requirements for Level 2 and 2016:
