Much has been discussed about the BIM4 Communities Village set for Digital Construction Week‘s Digital Construction Show conference.

Taking place on October 21st and 22nd, the ‘village’ will be one of the largest collections of BIM4 Working Groups and Regional BIM Hubs ever assembled under the same roof. The South East BIM Hub‘s John Eynon has promised that the proceedings will act as the platform the Hubs need to “raise our game” and “broaden our base of support” as well as mark the launch of the first part of their new strategy.

Whilst attendance from the industry groups has been publicised, no particular network has been announced, until now. We can today reveal that the following organisations are thus far confirmed: BIM4Collaboration, BIM4FitOut, BIM4Housing, BIM4Infrastructure, BIM4M2, BIM4SME, and BIM4Water. In addition, the South East and South West BIM Hubs will also be in attendance.

Whilst that list is certainly impressive, we have been informed by DCW 2015 organisers Exposure Media that more names will soon be announced.

Speaking of his team’s presence at DCW, BIM4SME Leadership Team member, Robert Klaschka told us: “All of us at BIM4SME are excited to be part of the BIM4 Communities Village at DCW this year. This event marks an important change in focus from BIM to the wider digital construction environment. We will be on the Village stage talking about BIM4SME’s projects and outreach so if you are coming, please come along and say hello.

“We’re also going to be hosting one of our popular BIM Clinics near to the event so if you are beginning your BIM journey be sure to sign up early.”

In just as exciting news, DCW’s has granted BIMcrunch exclusivity to offer our readership an extended Early Bird registration period. Information on how to redeem that discount can be found here.
