BSI BIM Conference 2015: Arup, Atkins, BIM Task Group, BIM2050, more confirmed

Those names may sound like the cast list of a BIM-version of The Expendables, but in fact, they are just some of the renowned names confirmed to speak at the BSI BIM Conference 2015.

The British Standards Institution‘s annual event addressing the latest in British standards for Building Information Modelling will commence on September 30th, 2015 and the above names give an indication at the importance of this event and how its speakers will outline the future of BIM adoption during 2016 and beyond.

The BIM Task Group‘s David Philp has been confirmed, and he will discuss the UK Government’s BIM strategy and how it will transform in the next few months. Avanti Partnership‘s Mervyn Richards will also stand at the rostrum, conducting an update on BS 1192:2007 and PAS 1192-2:2015 standards.

Elsewhere, Atkins and buildingSMART UK‘s Anne Kemp will open and close the proceedings with her Chairperson addresses, whilst Evolve‘s Nigel Davies will ponder Collaboration vs Coordination. Also, the next generation of professional and collaborative tool will be addressed by BIM2050‘s Neil Thompson and NBS‘ Stephen Hamil respectively.

Whilst not listed on the BSI website as a speaker, the BSI Twitter account has also confirmed that Balfour Beatty‘s Peter Trebilcock will also be presenting.
