BIM and GIS collaboration on the agenda for ISTeA event in Italy

Milan – the place to be for fine art, high fashion… and BIM.

The Italian Society of Science, Technology Engineering of Architecture (ISTeA) have announced the details of their latest event in the Italian capital, a morning session which will discuss the integration of both Building Information and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) together on the same projects.

Commencing the day’s events on September 24th will be Angelo Ciribini, BIM Researcher, Chairman of ISTeA, and University of Brescia Professor of Construction Management. Following his introductory message of 45 minutes, an international array of speakers will take to the rostrum.

Germany‘s Ilka May will represent Arup and discuss ‘A Shareable Paradigm Shift in Germany?‘ and ‘The value chain of BIM data in a Smart City context‘. Joining her to debate BIM hot topics is AtkinsAnne Kemp, also the Vice Chair of buildingSMART UK. Anne will also conduct a duo of presentations tackling ‘BIM, GIS, Client Organizations and Supply Chains in the UK – time to press the re-set button?‘ and ‘Responding to the disruptive convergence of differing technological approaches‘.
