The potential impact that Building Information Modelling could have on the nuclear industry will be the focus of an upcoming event organised by the Institution of Civil Engineers.

BIM and Tomorrow will take place on September 17th, 2015, with advisor to the BIM Task Group and BIS, Philip Isgar conducting a presentation during the session.

“My presentation will explain where and how BIM is being used and give specific examples from the nuclear industry,” explained Isgar in an exclusive comment to BIMcrunch. “The move towards Level 2 during 2016 and eventually onwards towards a ‘Digital Built Britain – Level 3’ remains challenging. The need for an ‘Integrated Nuclear Digital Environment’ is seen as a positive way ahead, and I’m looking forward to stating the latest on that project.”

BIM for Nuclear is certainly an interesting sector that is perhaps overlooked within the community, and we are excited to hear from Philip come September at Crooklands Hotel in Kendal, United Kingdom.
