Following the triumphant debut of collaboration-centric event CONSTRUCT//DISRUPT featuring Anne Kemp and Fred Mills, organisers BaseStone have announced its return, and BIMcrunch will act as Media Partner.

BaseStone’s inaugural event was well-received back in June, and the second instalment is set for October 21st, 2015. The event will be in association with Digital Construction Week, acting as a fringe event to the Digital Construction Show happening earlier in the day.

Community Development Officer for BaseStone, Priya Joshi informed us of what can be expected from CONSTRUCT//DISRUPT 2: “CONSTRUCT//DISRUPT in June was a sold-out event and was deemed ‘the most diverse event in construction’ – attracting entrepreneurs, engineers, angel investors, apprentices, BIM directors and innovation coordinators alike.

“For CONSTRUCT//DISRUPT October, we want to nurture that spirit of inclusivity and support the innovative technologies emerging from the peripheries of AEC. We will have talks from entrepreneurs and thought leaders, exclusive hands-on demos and plenty of chances to connect with fellow innovators.”

Joshi also explained why the collaboration tool creators wanted to work with BIMcrunch when organising their second event. She stated: “BIMcrunch are known amongst the community for their engaging content about the evolving UK construction scene, championing the industry’s progress and giving exposure to small organisations as well as large ones, so we knew they’d be fantastic to work with for our start-up construction event!”

BIMcrunch Editor, Jack White also commented: “When we saw the euphoric reaction to BaseStone’s first CONSTRUCT//DISRUPT, we knew that this event was one to look out for. I am ecstatic that BIMcrunch will play a part in CONSTRUCT//DISRUPT’s history and am very excited to see what hot BIM and tech topics will be raised in October.”

The entire schedule has not yet been confirmed, yet one speaker still available and the BaseStone team are eager for those who may fit the bill to get in touch. More details can be found on the sign-up page.
