October 21st, 2015 will be a huge day for the Building Information Modelling community as the Institution of Civil Engineers host their annual ICE BIM conference.

buildingSMART UK‘s Anne Kemp will be presenting, and she told us exclusively: “We are talking about transformation of the entire industry – working collaboratively and overcoming the silos, whether those be of our organisations, our disciplines or our technologies. ICE’s BIM Action Group works to share knowledge and ensure that we work across the various groups to support the overall UK BIM strategy. I feel privileged to be personally involved with this effort – which for me can be celebrated and challenged through the ICE BIM conference.”

ICE BIM 2015 hails from the Park Plaza Victoria Hotel in London, United Kingdom and speakers thus far confirmed for the event include the aforementioned Kemp, James Eaton, Malcolm Taylor and Mark Bew. These four leading figures representing Atkins, Laing O’Rourke, Crossrail and the BIM Task Group respectively have a wealth of experience to share relating to BIM, and the event is sure to be one not to miss.

The Early Bird discounted event rate is also something not to be missed, and the deadline for that deal ends in just two days time on July 31st, 2015. Up to £100 can be saved if you register before on the 31st for beforehand for the fee ranging from £247 to £297 depending on your status relating to the institute.

The presence of students is greatly encouraged also, with a £150 registration fee in place regardless of sign-up time. Fantastic news for you lucky students!

We’re proud to act as official Media Partner to ICE BIM 2015 and we can’t wait to see what the event has in store for the attendees. In a recent edition of Crunch Time, we spoke with BIM2050‘s Dwight Wilson, and he called on more event organisers to accommodate students within their pricing plan. We are delighted to be affiliated with a group like ICE who take this into account.
