The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors‘ Director of Built Environment has commented on the inaugural RICS BIM4SME Awards.

The 2015 edition of the annual-planned ceremony was held last Thursday (June 18th, 2015) and eight companies were commemorated across nine categories, with Bond Bryan Architects picking up a duo of trophies.

RICS’ aforementioned Director of Built Environment, Alan Muse commented: “It was a pleasure to welcome such a varied and skilled group of professionals to our first RICS BIM4SME Awards. Each of the nominated SMEs had displayed a great knowledge and understanding of BIM, whilst being instrumental in pushing forward the BIM agenda amongst their peers.

“These awards were created to recognise and promote SME achievements and the great benefits of BIM in the industry today. BIM will drive the future skills agenda, something which RICS fully supports and hopes to continue to support through the BIM focused products and services it offers. For smaller companies, investment in technical skills such as BIM provide an opportunity to differentiate their business offering. This also continues our close association with the BIM4SME working group and our mutual undertaking to ensure that the SME sector is properly represented. Congratulations to all of the winners and a big thank you to everyone who participated in the awards.”
