Following on from a successful ‘sell-out’ in February, the second Australian MelBIM conference has already filled all of the 300 delegate places for the next event.

Commencing on April 20th, 2015, MelBIM will take place at the RMIT Swanston Academic Building in Melbourne and will be sponsored by software company Union Square.

The conference will run for three hours and 15 minutes and will feature three guest speakers as well as a panel discussion. The theme of the event is ‘BIM Case Studies’ and those taking to the stage will present their BIM findings and recent progress.

Drew Williamson of McBride Charles Ryan will discuss how to “push the boundaries of what can be delivered with BIM” when referring to MCB’s work on the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, whilst Aurecon‘s John Hainsworth will “showcase how the Design Intent BIM and the Supply BIM contributed to the planning, design and rehearsal” of the Adelaide Convention Centre West Building.

Brett Perez of A.G. Coombs will conduct a presentation titled BIM in Fabrication, Installation & Maintenance before all speakers take part in a panel discussion conducted by AECOM‘s Steve Appleby.
