ASSA ABLOY sub-division UK Specification have previewed their appearance at EcoBuild 2015, where they will “highlight the significance of BIM modelling and sustainable design” alongside National Building Specification (NBS).

According to Specification Online, UK Specification will be represented in an NBS-orchestrated panel discussion on Building Information Modelling for Manufacturers, where they will discuss their “bespoke consultancy services and design led specification capabilities”.

ASSA ABLOY’s umbrella company will also use its own ‘BIM journey’ as evidence for how BIM can influence the sustainability of projects, and they will also be on-hand at the event to demonstrate “principles in understanding sustainability … for the benefit of architects, property development companies, design led main contractors and major end users”.

Discussing their appearance at EcoBuild, David Wigglesworth, Managing Director of UK Specification commented: “The launch of the UK Specification business will really come to life at EcoBuild. And on the back of a successful webinar, we would encourage as many to attend the BIM panel discussion to demonstrate its true significance for us all, especially in the countdown to 2016.

“EcoBuild is the show which we have been really looking forward, to once again partner with NBS and engage with architects. Here, we can show how we represent the global leader in door opening solutions, ASSA ABLOY, with the capability, knowledge and expertise to accommodate any building design and become a total provider of the highest quality architectural ironmongery and innovative doorsets, with a true dedication to delivering on service.”

The news follows NBS revealing their programme of events for the conference, which kicks off tomorrow (March 3rd) at Excel London, United Kingdom.
