The Aconex-sponsored event attracted around 300 delegates who were treated to presentations, snacks and complementary beverages, all for free. Lucky them!
Discussing what he hopes the event would achieve prior to today’s proceedings, IGS‘ Luke Johnston, who is also one of the 12 MelBIM committee members stated: “Plans for MelBIM have been in motion for quite some time, but it was important to get the formula right for our first one.
“To have our first ticket allocation exhausted so quickly was tremendous and vindication that we are assembling something that the industry genuinely wants.”
Speaking at the event were AECOM‘s Chris Needham; Fulton Trotter Architects‘ Nathan Hildebrandt; Leighton Engineering‘s Daniel Kalnins and Mitchell Brandtman‘s David Mitchell, all of whom received significant praise on Twitter.
