The B1M‘s Building Information Modelling teaching initiative B1M University has announced it’s latest higher education partnership.

Following affiliations with the Universities of Loughborough, Westminster and the West of Scotland, the University of Brighton have been announced as the latest partner to host a B1M University seminar.

B1M University events are recorded classes that can be viewed online for free, alongside archive events under the B1M University umbrella. Partners and sponsors can also gain from the experience as they can prove their efforts at promoting BIM and getting the industry ready for the next generation.

Founding Director of The B1M, Fred Mills explained: “B1M University is the perfect complement to our video resource. Linking industry expertise into University teaching is vital; video enables us to do that on a widespread scale and with a medium that really engages the younger generation.”

Hannah Wood, Senior Lecturer in Construction Management at University of Brighton described the partnership as “great”: “B1M University helps us to temper our academic BIM teaching with first-hand industry experience; it’s a great initiative that we know our students will benefit from.”

The first event from the most recent B1M University series held at the University of Westminster is now available to view online. Click here to reach The B1M video portal.
