Philp, who is also Head of BIM at the UK BIM Task Group, has departed Mace after nearly two years in his role, and will begin a role with AECOM in January 2015. Before joining Mace, he was Balfour Beatty‘s BIM Programme Director.
Philp seems to be more keen to divulge such information, with his LinkedIn account stating that he will take up a position as AECOM’s BIM Director for the EMEA region.
With the disbandment of the BIM Task Group approaching as reigns are handed over to a legacy group, it appears that Philp is ready to initiate change in attitudes regarding BIM elsewhere in the world. Mr. Philp recently made comments regarding the UK’s built environment sector, stating that it is one “to be proud of”.
We wish David the best of luck with his new endeavour!
