Architectural hardware manufacturers Lloyd Worrall have released their first array of Building Information Modelling door objects, complete with an industry first.
According to bimstore who created the content, the 18 object families are “currently the only door components readily available on the market that come complete with user-selectable ironmongery settings” – an impressive USP for sure.
6 ironmongery variants are available for each listing, providing downloaders with a serious amount of scope in their models. The doors are compatible with Autodesk Revit, so users of the industry-leading software brand are in-luck.
The portfolio of products come with 90 possible variations depending on whether they are single, double or leaf and a half (unequal pair) types. Each comes with an array of vision panel detail options and the doors can be customised further via the comprehensive materials library that also comes with the download. This will allow architects utilising the objects to change colour and wood finish amongst other design alterations.
Discussing their partnership with Lloyd Worrall, bimstore’s Head of Content Kris Atkinson said: “We have worked in detail with Lloyd Worrall to create a set of components that accurately reflect their product but ultimately make life easier for the end user. We put in the hard work so you don’t have to! With user selectable ironmongery sets dependant on space, this set of doors makes them easy to use and stand out from the crowd.”
