KJWW Engineering Consultants have explained their Building Information Modelling processes in a new video uploaded to their YouTube channel.

Based in Illinois, KJWW implement BIM practice on a variety of engineering projects such as commercial, healthcare, higher education mission critical/data centers and sports and recreation.

The video, narrated by KJWW’s BIM Manager Sarah Garthaus shows BIM put to practice within KJWW’s offices.

“Robust and proprietary additions to the standard Revit MEP content, KJWW’s well-established structural modelling provides clients with extremely data-rich 3D models integrating all engineering design disciplines, said Garthaus. “In addition to optimizing design visualization, BIM is used to manage project development and facilitate document and discipline coordination.”

Garthaus elaborates: “KJWW uses BIM on all new construction projects. A dedicated administrator oversees the firm’s BIM processes and a Revit coordinator is assigned to each project to act as a single source of contact for all model related subjects and ensure consistency in modelling and verify adherence to company standards.”
