VELUX announce release of glazing BIM objects

World-famous glazing experts VELUX have announced the release of BIM-incarnations of some of their flagship window products.

The mastodon brand have released 29 BIM object families ranging from balcony windows, flat and hung roof windows, roof terrace windows and sun tunnels, all of which can be implemented into your 3D models for free. A void in the window department has most certainly been filled with the arrival of this big name.

The New Generation: VELUX pivot hung roof window GGL INTEGRA 1.0 and VELUX sun tunnel TWR 1.0 are just two of the objects you can now use in your architectural models.

All objects are available in Autodesk Revit format, with some also being downloadable for GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD and Google SketchUp platforms.

According to AEC Online, VELUX had their products manufactured in a BIM format “to be on the front edge of the digital world in the building industry and to support architects and designers working with BIM”. Click here to read more.
