Nile Corniche Project extends HOCHTIEF ViCon’s BIM consultancy

Building Information Modelling service provider Hochtief ViCon have announced an extension of their Building Information Modelling consultancy of a major Egyptian BIM project.

The BIM giant’s work on the Nile Corniche Project has now been extended until the end of 2015, meaning their involvement in the project will span nearly 6 years.

The Qatari Diar-Egypt Nile Corniche Project in Cairo is a 38-storey complex situated near the River Nile’s riverbank in Cairo’s bustling city centre. When completed, the multiplex will include hotel space, offices, restaurants and retail areas and stand 140 metres tall.

According to Hochtief ViCon’s website, the BIM work carried out on the project includes “3D Design Coordination, 4D Progress and Cost Monitoring, 4D Construction Program Verification and the support in model-based Quantity Take-off, Value Engineering, Marketing and Training initiatives”.
