Italian healthcare furniture manufacturer Malvestio have launched a range of their products as Building Information Modelling compatible objects.

Available for Autodesk Revit and GRAPISOFT ArchiCAD, seven object families are now available to download for free including two types of bed, two types of stretcher, one table, one cabinet and one trolley. Models include the GAMMA3 – Electric Bed, KOMOBI’ – Over Bed Table and LINKAR – Emergency Trolley.

The objects are perfect for implementation within hospital, clinic or carehome residential models and Malvestio thought to create them due to a “growing interest” in improving the manufacturing process.

Malvestio’s Head of Interior Design Office and Marketing Manager, Massimiliano Medeot commented: “There is a growing interest in the concepts of sustainability and improvement of manufacturing processes, and we believe that BIM will play an important role supporting that objective. Furthermore, in some countries, BIM is already required by law and by distributing our products we want to act in advance to avoid that tomorrow may become a hindrance. I am excited that architects and engineers from around the world can improve their designs with Malvestio innovative and cutting-edge furniture.”
