The all important dates and venue have been unveiled for BIM Show Live 2015.
Last year’s BIM Show Live was the first year that the event had been held in Manchester Central, a venue so successful that BIM Show Live creator and Space Group CEO Rob Charlton had to book it again.
“I am thrilled to announce that BIM Show Live will be returning to Manchester for the 2015 conference”, stated Charlton in an exclusive comment to BIMcrunch.
“With around 800 enthusiastic Building Information Modelling guests expected plus presentations and panel discussions from some of the industry’s biggest names, I can’t wait for next April to arrive.”
Another person incredibly happy with the decision to return to Manchester Central is Oliver Hughes, Head of Sponsorship at BIM Show Live organisers UBM. He told BIMcrunch: “We [UBM] are incredibly excited to announce that BIM Show Live will be back at Manchester Central again next year. We got some great feedback on the move from everyone last year and hopefully everyone will be pleased to hear that we’ll be back there again in 2015.
“There are a couple of changes and hopefully some surprises in store for attendees next year which will make it the best BIM Show yet. We’ve grown each year and I think it’s safe to say have built a reputation as the best BIM Show in the UK. One of our attendees even suggested this year was better than even AU which is high praise indeed!”
Think you can provide insightful guidance and want to be a speaker at the event? BIM Show Live organisers are currently looking for the most enthusiastic folk to step behind the rostrum and inform and educate their peers at the event.
In their Call for Papers announcement, BIM Show Live’s management expressed their interest in finding the right charismatic and experienced members of the #GlobalBIMCrew who can share their “eureka moment” and perhaps a “major breakthrough on a challenging project”. The following topics are of most interest to #BSL2015 admin:
• ROI demonstrating the value BIM has brought to your business
• Benefits of BIM for buildings in use and asset management
• How BIM is being used by surveyors and the challenges faced
• BIM beyond buildings looking at infrastructure and landscape
“Again this year we’ll be asking industry to enter our call for papers which closes on the 17th December,” stated Hughes. “We had an incredible response last year with over 140 submissions. This year we’re especially interested to hear from people with experience and expertise in asset and facilities management, as well as looking at infrastructure projects and we’d love to hear more from the QS audience.”
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, December 17th, 2014.
The reveal follows the recent announcement of BIM Show Live’s sister conference, BIM Show Live for Manufacturers, an event to be sponsored by Graitec. The new-look BIM Show Live logo and colour scheme were revealed back then too, an eye-catching colour scheme that we were happy to adopt. A little bit of synergy between Rethinc. It siblings is never a bad thing.
