CIC accepting applications for new BIM2050 members

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) are now accepting applications for industry BIM experts who wish to join their BIM2050 division.

Chaired by Head of BIM at the BIM Task Group David Philp, the BIM2050 Group have been operating since September 2012 and orchestrate discussion on the future of the construction industry and how Building Information Modelling will play an increasing role over the coming years and decades.

Quarterly meeting in London to debate on the latest happenings and developments yet to come, BIM2050 are scouting young architectural, engineering and construction professionals who are involved within companies who make up the CIC’s member organisations. Companies can nominate their members or alternatively, individuals can nominate colleagues or put themselves forward for consideration, a process which will have concluded by December 1st.

The Construction Industry Council’s Chief Executive, Graham Watts OBE provided comment and said: “Over the past two years you have produced some very valuable work and I would like to place on record, CIC’s thanks to each and every one of you for raising and creating extremely useful debate about the future challenges facing our industry and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. The time has now come however, to refresh the group’s membership, in order to allow as many young professionals as possible, the opportunity to make their views heard.”
