The UK’s leading BIM consultancy BIM.Technologies has been announced as an official sponsor of a much-talked about industry event.

Meet the Hospital Bidders – an event organised by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough and Birmingham City councils – will be held tomorrow and will give construction industry professionals a chance to learn more about the bidding process of the upcoming £353 million Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick.

In addition to that exciting opportunity, the West Midlands Virtual Hospital, a digital procurement tool, will also be on display. The WMVH will show how best to provide every element needed to successfully construct and operate a 21st century hospital, meaning that attending this event is of critical importance for firms who are hoping to throw their hats into the hospital bidding ring.

Presenting at the event will be one of BIM. Technologies’ Information Managers, Olly Thomas, who will share the rostrum with bimstore’s Partnership Manager, Gillian Smith.

Speaking exclusively with BIMcrunch, Thomas said: “It is really exciting to see BIM featuring so heavily in the Midlands. BIM enabled projects are more and more prominent and an event such as this can only aid to promote BIM awareness and adoption going forwards. I am looking forward to attending and presenting on the day.”

Taking place at the Bethel Convention Centre from 8:30am – 03:00pm, Meet The Hospital Bidders will commence tomorrow, Thursday, October 9th, 2014.

This news follows BIMcrunch’s story that announced Space Group’s Rob Charlton as a guest speaker at the Kent Construction Expo 2014, an event he will present at later today (October 8th, 2014).
