The voting process in various nationwide divisions of the Tekla Global BIM Awards has now started, and the candidates up for a Middle Eastern gong have been announced.
Thirteen Tekla Structures projects are in the contention to win a prize, which would mean they would then go on to compete in the Tekla Global BIM Awards.
Projects in the running include Al Fara’a General Contracting Company‘s Presidential Guard Sas Al Nakhl. Gulf Steel Industries‘ Abu Dhabi Airport – The Midfield Terminal Complex Development and Zamil Steel Company Ltd‘s King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture.
Three winners from each nationwide division will win an award and progress to the Final Global round. Nominations are split into three categories: Precast/Concrete projects, Steel projects and Total BIM projects. In order to be considered for nomination, companies had to submit complete Tekla BIMsight and Structures models of the project, in addition to other paraphernalia including an artist’s impression or photograph of the development.
The news comes after BIMcrunch spotlighted the potential award winners battling it out in the Tekla Finland BIM Awards.
