BIM consultancy Ibsecad are celebrating after securing a major fit out contract in London.

Breaking the news on their official website, the firm will work to an “incredibly tight” schedule to fit out ten floors of one of the UK capital’s most iconic buildings, The Shard.

Building Information Modelling will be utilised to carry-out the work, enabling Ibsecad to “adapt and deliver” quickly “to meet the clients requirements”. Following the completion of the ten-floor fit out, the company are “looking forward to overseeing the install with some field BIM activities”.

Speaking exclusively to BIMcrunch, Ibsecad’s Regional Director for London, Richard Baglow said: “I’ve followed The Shard’s progress over the past year or so. It now sits proudly on London’s skyline and we’re really excited to work on this landmark project.”

The news follows Ibsecad’s recent announcement that they will deliver the new Clinical Building at Great Ormond Street Hospital, which BIMcrunch covered over on its sister Instagram feed, #Bimagery.
