BIM Vacancies: London-based Level 2 BIM Coordinator role up for grabs

With the clock rapidly ticking towards the Government’s 2016 BIM mandate deadline, the need for those with the know-how is rapidly increasing. An example of such a need for those skilled in Building Information Modelling is the focus of today’s BIM Vacancies.

Jobs Today have hosted a listing for a role billed as a “large scale requirement” for a BIM Level 2 Coordinator/Implementation Engineer to be based in the nation’s capital for a company who are in the process of rolling out Level 2 on all of their projects.  

 

Interested parties much possess a comprehensive knowledge of BIM standards, a solutions-focused independent thinking approach, a proven track record working on infrastructure projects such as road and rail and a know-how in using Autodesk Revit. A bonus would also to have knowledge of Bentley software products.

 

A successful candidate will be the BIM expert on any given project and will manage project teams to keep them focused and on task. Although working on a daily basis with project teams and internal support functions, the hired coordinator will also liaise with the design office. Projects that will be worked on “have the potential to be multi year engagements”, with the new BIM engineer also be responsible for clash detection, design leadership and quantity take off duties.

 

Should you be successful and be hired, you could earn between £40,000 to £45,000 a year and the deadline for submission is September 15th 2014. Click here for more information.
