Architectural aluminium solutions experts Metal Technology have released their very first Building Information Modelling object libraries.

In response to the demand from customers and to strengthen their stance as a “leading supplier” within the industry, the company sought to make their products available in a digital format suitable for implementation in BIM software. Metal Technology’s platform of choice was the popular Autodesk Revit software.

Varying types of building components are available for free download including doors, windows and curtainwalling. Eleven families are available to download in total from Metal Technology’s official website and the downloads consist of the High Performance Thermally Enhanced Casement Window, the Thermally Enhanced Tilt and Turn window family and the sole curtainwalling download, the System 17 High Rise.

The objects are customisable too; all components can have their heights and widths edited to suit their project’s requirements. In addition to those editing options, within windows, mullions and transoms can be also be moved.

BD Product Search have more on the objects available to insert into your BIMs. Read their additional information here and view Metal Technology’s BIM portal by clicking here.
