BIM education initiative The B1M have today released the second edition of their BIM newspaper The B1M Mail.
Available in both a hard copy and an online version, the latest The B1M Mail instalment features an in-depth look at BIM in Australia, following on from the positive reception articles on the state of the industry Down Under received from the inaugural issue.
The B1M Mail is freely distributed to more than 2,000 Building Information Modelling professionals across six continents. UK hard copies will reach their destinations today, with international deliveries hitting doorsteps next week.
The B1M Director Fred Mills has spoken about why he chose to release a paper version of the publication when the newspaper itself is all about the digital age. He commented: “Going digital means converting those in analogue. That simply won’t happen by publishing lots digital information daily. Nor can we expect everyone to actively go and find out more about BIM under their own steam, just because they’re interested. We need to reach out and engage people in a cool format that makes taking those first steps easy”.
