Engineering solutions firm TE Connectivity have launched their first families of Building Information Modelling objects.
Copper and fibre enterprise network solutions are the first objects available, with specific products getting a BIM makeover including FiberGuide fiber raceway, RMG and WMG fiber enclosures, TrueNet fiber panel (TFP), Quareo chassis and blades, and copper solutions including Category 5e, 6 and 6A patch panels and blocks, mounting systems, racks, and cable management systems.
Global Project Manager at TE, Gene Malone said of the foray into BIM: “By investing in BIM objects, TE is making its products easier to design into projects with a high degree of accuracy.”
News source InfoTech Lead are reporting that TE Connectivity will also be launching more BIM objects in the coming months.
