BIMcrunch aims to be the leading resource for all Building Information Modelling news and views. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Geospatial Media and Geonovum respect that vision as they have named BIMcrunch an official media partner to their flagship BIM event, GeoBIM Europe 2014.

The inaugural GeoBIM Europe event will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on November 19 – 20th and will act as a collaborative platform in which respected figures within the Building Information Modelling and Geospatial communities can come together, share ideas and discuss best cohesive practice.

Annu Negi, Director – Europe at Geospatial Media and Communications spoke of the event and what people can expect. She said: “In the past year we have been interacting with the AEC industry about the integration of geospatial and BIM. The awareness is definitely increasing but there are still gaps that need to be addressed – in terms of policy, interoperability and technology availability. GeoBIM Europe would provide a platform where these two industries can meet and interact to bridge those gaps.”

Partnerships of this scale ensure that BIMcrunch can provide accurate, contemporaneous reporting concerning a wide range of major BIM developments across the world. Discussing her corporation’s new-found relationship with BIMcrunch, Negi added: “We’re very much delighted to partner with BIMcrunch not only to introduce GeoBIM as a conference, but to be involved in the community that is driving the integration of geospatial technology and BIM is a great leap in itself. This partnership shall be the stepping stone to connect the geospatial community and the AEC industry in the long run.”

This news follows last week’s reveal that BIMcrunch is to partner with SPAR Point Group in a similar arrangement, acting as a media partner for their two events in December, SPAR Europe and the European LiDAR Mapping Forum.
