Birmingham City University have released a new video looking at the relationship between Building Information Modelling and Higher Education and Estates Management.
The thirty-eight minute long presentation was presented by Birmingham City University’s BIM Process Manager Richard Draper, who is responsible for the production of 3D models for the University’s various campuses.
Draper, who specialises in Revit, 3DS Max, ArchiCAD and Sketchup, was referred to as the inspiration for the seminar that the talk was included in, which was the BIM for Estates Management conference that took place on June 16th.
“BIM now for the university is quite integral to the estates strategy”, said Draper. “What we’re trying to do is incorporate BIM into the way we manage our buildings and the way we structure our information.”
The talk also features a demonstration of BIM 360.
