It appears that Manchester is not the only British city getting a taste of BIM Show Live in 2014!
Space Group have announced that their mega-popular BIM Show Live conference will be back for a second time this year, as a shorter version of the popular convention will be coming to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Normally a three day extravaganza, BIM Show Live Scotland will take place over one day, July 24th, from 4 till 8pm. The minimized event is taking place “to help galvanise the country’s construction industry towards full-scale adoption of BIM.” The networking platform aims to introduce The Highlands to “the same level of invaluable networking opportunities as exists in England.”
The Scottish Parliament have issued a mandate for BIM adoption similar to the UK Government’s own. All public-sector construction projects must use Building Information Modelling by 2017, giving Scottish businesses a little bit longer to get to grips with the newest technological driving force revolutionising architecture, construction and engineering.
BIM Show Live’s Scottish spin-off was devised by BIM.Technologies (who recently opened a new office in the Scottish capital) alongside BIM Hub Scotland. Over the course of what’s to be an incredibly insightful four hours, guests confirmed thus far are Head of BIM at BIM Task Group, David Philp, Space Group CEO, Rob Charlton and Director of BIM.Technologies, Adam Ward.
The event is sure to be immensely popular, so make sure you register your place for the event as soon as possible by clicking here.
