A look ahead to HP’s first BIM event

Information technology giants Hewlett-Packard (HP) will soon host their first ever Building Information Modelling event.

As HP are patrons of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the event, named ‘How BIM are you?’, will be taking place in RIBA’s London headquarters on Portland Place.

The conference, which is split into two morning and afternoon sessions, will look at whether BIM is just another buzz word or is it in fact a serious improvement to the business of construction.

The headline speaker at the inaugural convention will be the CEO of Space Group, Rob Charlton. Speaking to BIMcrunch about his upcoming talk, Rob said: “To be invited as a headline speaker by HP, a market leader in IT who operate on a global scale is a huge honour. I’m looking forward to representing the world of Building Information Modelling to show that BIM is the future of the architecture, construction and engineering industry.”

How BIM are you? will take place on Tuesday 15th July, 2014 and you can register to attend by clicking here. The morning session will run from 09:30 – 13:00 with the afternoon proceedings commencing at 13:30 lasting until 17:00.
