A BIM consultancy firm operating out of Manchester has been honoured twice over at the Salford Business Awards.
On Thursday night, Oakwood Engineering won in the categories of Small Business of the Year and the Innovation Award at the annual event, this year held at the AJ Bell Stadium.
In recent years, Oakwood has deftly restructured its business, moving from traditional architecture consultation to providing a variety of BIM services. Its portfolio includes BIM coordination for high-profile projects such as Wembley Stadium and The Shard.
Salford’s city mayor Ian Stewart said that Oakwood and the night’s other award-winners represented the “best of our great city”.
At BIM Show Live 2014, which took place in April, Oakwood’s managing director Christropher Brown delivered a talk on his company’s contribution to the remodelling of Gravesend Railway station in Kent.
The Manchester Evening News has the full report on 2014’s Salford Business Awards, along with a list of the winners in each category.
Congratulations to Oakwood Engineering on their success!
