Hamworthy Heating have today expanded their BIM object library.
The heating company had released four BIM objects prior to today (including Dorchester and Fleet heaters and boilers), and they have now added the Wessex range to their portfolio.
Hamworthy have discussed their decision to transition into Building Information Modelling, citing the Government’s 2016 BIM Level 2 mandate as an inspiration for their new digital products. They said:
“The arrival of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the government’s determination to make it compulsory on all public sector projects by 2016 means that a new era of integrated project co-ordination is dawning.
“Hamworthy Heating is again leading the way with new technologies and is investing in turning product information into digital components in anticipation of the widespread adoption of BIM.”
Kris Atkinson, bimstore’s Senior Technician spoke about the heating objects launch: “The addition of the Wessex Modumax Range to bimstore further increases Hamworthy Heating’s involvement in BIM and shows their focus on being a front runner in providing products to BIM users. These components have been created to reflect the actual product in as much detail as possible without hindering performance and providing specifiers with a simple easy to use component with a plethora of product specific information already built-in.”
