It’s time for another round-up of the latest Building Information Modelling-related job vacancies and today’s instalment takes us to Hong Kong and Wales.
Gartner Contracting Co., Ltd are seeking a BIM Design Manager to be based in their Hong Kong branch to help deal with the rising workload that the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) are providing the contractor with.
The job description details a variety of metal-related tasks such as aluminium unit and steel connection modelling in addition to other tasks such as executing studies relating to clash detection, creating production drawings and making sure that shop drawing designs tally with structural calculations.
Crucial qualities a candidate must possess include four to six years experience working with BIM and a knowledge of Catia model structuring.

The second listing takes us to the British Isles, specifically Cardiff, Wales.
An undisclosed international consultancy are looking for a new CAD/BIM Technician with sufficient experience using Autodesk’s Revit and Navisworks. Knowledge of how to use AutoCAD and Solibri are also held in high regard, as is being a member of a recognised governing body.
The chosen applicant must plan day-to-day activities, present structural drawings in a clear fashion, be adept at creating schedules, drawings and detailed models based on design engineer information and have a clear knowledge of BIM regulations.
