Two Space Group employees are hoping their fellow #UKBIMCrew members can help them make a difference to the lives of sick children.
Project Coordinator Luke Westoe and Senior Interior Designer Darren Purvis are to undergo the monumental task of cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats and raising money for their chosen charity, Children with Cancer UK. The selfless duo are hoping to raise £10,000 and are so far at the £3500 level.
Channeling Space’s moniker of ‘Rethink Your World’, Westoe and Purvis are rethinking the bike ride as they hope to complete it in 7 days as opposed to the average span of 9 days.
In traditional Space Group fashion of working together across their entire company, the cyclists will be followed their entire journey by bimstore’s very own epic vehicle, Florence the Caravan. (No doubt Ermintrude will want to tag along too!)
In a display of generosity, Space Group’s CEO Rob Charlton has vowed that the company will match the final cash sum raised.
If any of the #UKBIMCrew or worldwide Building Information Modelling community would like to aid Luke and Darren in achieving their goal and help Children with Cancer UK, follow this link to donate. If your company would also like to be a corporate sponsor and appear on the team’s jerseys and support vehicle in exchange for a donation of £600, please get in touch and email firstname.lastname@example.org.
