How do people navigate through a building, a train station, airports? What happens when you need to evacuate an area, and if a number of exits have to be shut for various reasons, will the occupants still make it out safely? Simulating the behaviour of individuals is becoming an increasingly important part of any project and it should fit in to the BIM process. We will share with you how you can very easily create complex pedestrian simulation problems using Revit assets as the basis of the 3D model, how we can then quickly perform sensitivity analysis and what-if scenarios, measure pedestrian levels of service, predict congestion, evacuation rates, flow patterns and more using your Revit or other 3D model data.
