Northern Construction Training and BIM Technologies decided to put their heads together and come up with Campus, a new BIM training centre specifically tailored to training 19-24 year olds within the UK AEC industry.
Ran out of a purpose built state-of-the-art training suite, Campus has developed a bespoke foundation course that will be City & Guilds Accredited and run for 12 weeks, covering BIM from project inception right through to facilities management.
At the end of which students will leave with a portfolio of work and the opportunity to take the Autodesk professional certification exam having completed 490 hours in 12 weeks.
Peter James Morton, BIM Trainer / Instructor at BIM Technologies is leading the development of Campus, and the initiative has support from Rob Charlton, CEO _space Group, and Jamie Paterson of Northern Construction.
The first 12 week training course is to commence 5th August 2013 and the 12 week training course will be ran 4 times throughout the year at the campus BIM training suite is located in the _space Group head office in Newcastle.
Campus believes in investing in the younger generation of AEC professionals to produce BIM-enabled, Tech-savvy individuals to help drive the UK AEC industry forward.
