One of the world’s most exciting Building Information Modelling events has announced details of its first instalment of 2016.
Australia‘s MelBIM event held in Melbourne will take place on February 25th, just days after the one year anniversary of the brand. The speaker selection discussing economic impacts of BIM, BIM for structural engineering and the ‘reality’ of BIM in the UK as well as an update on how the Australasian industry is faring.
The one-day, two hour conference is perhaps the most diverse one yet, both in terms of content and gender representation on the rostrum. Speakers based in both London and New York will visit Melbourne to share their expertise with the Melburnian community.
Discussing the UK’s mandate and what Australia can learn from it will be Rebecca De Cicco of Digital Node. Rebecca is originally from Australia and regularly returns to the country, so is perhaps one of the best globally suited to reflect upon the UK’s progress and what it could mean for Australia. You can hear more from Rebecca and her time working in both Australia and the UK in our Crunch Time audio interview with her.
Elsewhere at the Autodesk sponsored event, Belinda Hodkinson, Author of the Australian and New Zealand Revit Standards will discuss what the country needs to get economically right within its toolkit, to ensure productivity for the nation.
