The likes of the Arab Engineering Bureau, Atkins, Cundall, Qatar University, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Teesside University are represented amongst the transcontinental selection that sees Qatari professional shares their insights alongside foreign BIM experts with experience delivering results in the Middle East.
Nashwan Dawood – who recently stated that “any company which is not BIM-ready will lose out” – will conduct a joint presentation with HOCHTIEF ViCon’s Dr. Racha Chahrour. The pair will discuss development of a whole lifecycle information flow enabled by BIM modelling protocols.
Alan Muse recently appeared at Digital Construction Week‘s Digital Construction Show, and he will share his knowledge with another conference audience. He believes BIM “has the power to unlock cost and time efficiencies which will enable the UK industry to become more efficient and competitive on a global scale”. He will discuss just that and more in his talk entitled ‘Decision making, training and BIM‘.
Another highly interesting address will come from Atkins’ Laura Smagin. Laura will share her thoughts on ‘Live modelling techniques on a single project; with teams located around the world‘. What with initiatives like Build Earth Live gaining prevalence, projects featuring partners in other countries around the world are happening increasingly often, so Laura’s presentation will definitely be of topical relevance most definitely.
