The next free symposium – sponsored by Newforma – has been confirmed for July 2nd, 2015 and will take place at the RMIT Swanston Academic Building in the city.
The event’s description encourages BIM-interested professionals of all positions to come along and see form themselves why MelBIM is the perfect event for them to attend to increase their knowledge of the industry. It reads: “Whether you’re a BIM Manager, Architect, Engineer, Contractor, Facility Manager, Manufacturer, Project Manager or anyone else wanting to learn and share information about BIM, MelBIM events have something for everyone.”
GHD Woodhead‘s Brian Renehan will kick off proceedings by presenting the case study of a mental health facility at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with a particular emphasis on BIM for facilities management. Investa‘s Nathan Lyon will continue the FM theme and discuss “What do FM’s need from BIM?”, looking at how “BIM is perfectly placed as a natural enabler for FM optimisation” rather than a distraction, fad or toy.
A video has also been released containing footage of previous MelBIM events, hyping the next event and why these events are making major waves Down Under. Check that out below.
