One of Canada‘s most influential Building Information Modelling industry groups has announced a new awards ceremony aimed to celebrate the best in Canadian BIM adoption.
The first annual National CanBIM Awards will “shine a light on the many great innovators and progressive leaders” in the country, and is scheduled for September 30th, 2015 in Calgary, Alberta. A regional conference will then follow on October 1st.
The awards are the latest development for the CanBIM brand, elevating them to an even higher pedestal as “the leader and voice in the development of BIM in Canada”. In addition to the many seminar events CanBIM run, they also recently announced their intention to develop a national standards framework and have launched an accreditation and certification program.
“The premise behind the annual CanBIM Awards is not just the recognition of excellence but a focal point for those most interested and involved with BIM enabled technologies within our design, construction and owner community,” said Allan Partridge, CanBIM President. “The awards will also serve the business community to help benchmark the industry in a fun and engaging manner, discover new trends and opportunities to learn from our peers across Canada. Importantly we see it as an opportunity to enhance the uptake of BIM in Canada.”
